**Course Overview**This course is offered as a four year programme, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree.The ability to analyse and solve business problems in market economies is highly sought after in many types of careers, both in the UK and around the world.Our BA (Hons) Business Economics programme is designed for those who want to combine economics with a focus on how business leaders today make decisions. You’ll also explore the key areas of economics to understand and put into a business context its role within business, the UK and the wider global economy.On this course you’ll learn how to apply economic theories and data handling skills to analyse real-world economic and business problems. Additionally, you will learn to construct arguments and effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences.We are committed to providing you with the best learning experience. You will have gained skills and knowledge that are attractive to a range of employers across both public and private sectors.Our graduates pursue careers in a variety of business-related roles in private and public companies, government and non-governmental organisations, as well as smaller specialist businesses.**Course Details**On this course you’ll learn about business and economics in an interconnected world, study contemporary issues affecting these fields and develop the professional skills you need for a successful career.First year modules will provide you with a solid background in economics and management, while your second and final years provide some choice and flexibility, allowing you to tailor aspects of your degree and your assignments according to your interests and career ambitions.You'll be assessed through essays, coursework assignments, individual and group research projects, exams and a final-year dissertation or project. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on projects and live briefs with students from other business management degree programmes, gaining the practical and transferable skills you need for your career.All our academics who teach on the programme have a wide range of educational and professional experience and have extensive links with industry.
