Course summary


This two-year, full-time course will enable you to develop knowledge and skills across a broad range of professional business activities and includes opportunities to actively engage with a broad base of employers, including Corporates, SME’s and Social and Charitable enterprises in a variety of projects and internships. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a two-week study exchange to the Netherlands.

There is an emphasis on preparation for the workplace, through on-going development of employability and personal development planning skills, culminating in the completion of work related projects. HND students will have the opportunity to participate in an internship programme with a reputable professional organisation. This programme of study is likely to include additional professional qualifications which are included to enhance your employability.

Career Prospects

Upon completion of the HND, opportunities exist to progress to further full or part-time study e.g. degree programmes or to professional qualifications such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Accounting Technicians Ireland and Institute of Leadership and Management.
