How you learn

All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. The teaching and learning on the business management top up course is informed by contemporary academic research. There is also significant collaboration with business organisations, industry practitioners and other external stakeholders – to equip you with the skills you’ll need in the workplace. Tutors bring current insights into their modules by including insights from their own research and drawing on cutting-edge knowledge from the business and management field. By its very nature the course has a truly international perspective across all levels. You learn through: - Formal lectures - Interactive seminars and workshops- Problem solving exercises- Simulations and learning games- Case study discussions- Small group discussions- Class debates- Individual and group presentations


Key Themes

This course brings together business insights that focus on international, sustainable and ethical business practices. You’ll explore the practical issues that global organisations face, and the digital solutions they use. We select learning themes and materials to represent a diversity of global contexts and perspectives.    You'll focus on current real-world global challenges through problem-solving exercises. In some of the modules you study, you’ll also have opportunities for flexible and personalised learning – including the assessment tasks you undertake.


Course Support

We’ll support your transition into level 6 study with guidance on how to present information, how to critically evaluate issues and how to work within teams. We also offer study skills support for international students. Throughout your learning journey, you’ll receive:- Access to our unique student support triangle to help with your personal, academic and career development.- Access to our Skills Centre with one-to-ones, webinars and online resources.- Free office and studio space, expert workshops, freelance opportunities and a vast business network ready for you to tap into.- Career support for up to five years after graduating.


Applied learning

We think the best way to learn something is to do it in the real world. That means putting learning into practice through an applied project.


Live Projects

Assessments are rooted in the real-world contexts faced by businesses. Assessment formats include written reports, essays, individual and group presentations, self reflective tasks and in-class tests.
