Course summary

This course has been specifically designed to enable you to critically understand a broad range of contemporary strategic leadership, management and organisational principles and use them to develop effective organsational strategies. You will develop skills and knowledge to identify improvements to maximise growth and business performance and lead on the implementation of these improvements. Through studying this course as well as acquiring specialist knowledge, you will also develop professional skills such as communication and negotiation, the ability to influence and making decisions, skills that are highly valuable in any organisation or sector. You may wish to enhance your career prospects by securing a voluntary work placement. This is not a mandatory requirement of the course but is recommended to help you gain valuable work experience. Previous graduates have secured employment with Balfour Beatty, Gateshead Council, Tesco, Winn Solicitors, NHS and Starbucks. A number of students have also progressed into job roles as trainee teachers within further education. Some graduates choose to continue their education, this course provides an ideal platform for further study through our MA or MBA qualifications.
