You’ll study your Business Management with Marketing degree at the world-renowned Leeds University Business School. Accredited by the leading professional marketing body, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), this course combines strategic business management with a specialisation in marketing. You'll have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders at guest lectures and events, giving you valuable insights into career paths in marketing and other management functions. You’ll cover the core concepts and techniques of both management and marketing, such as decision-making, marketing strategy, consumer behaviour and advertising, and understand the wider context of business. You’ll also gain a solid foundation in important business functions such as accounting and supply chain management. Throughout the course, you’ll develop the analytical, leadership, presentation and transferable skills required by the business world. Shape your learning with pathways This course offers pathways which allow you to tailor your course to your specific interests or professional aspirations. The majority of the pathways start from year 2, once you have established the foundations of your subject. Pathway modules can be taken in particular areas and can be followed through to your final year. This unique level of personalisation and self-direction provides you with flexibility to meet your career goals, whilst helping you stand out from the crowd when you graduate. The pathways available on this course are: Analytics Consulting Accounting Economics Human Resource Management Enterprise and Innovation Ethics and Sustainability Course highlightsChoose to take an optional year in industry to gain valuable practical experience, or immerse yourself in a new culture by spending a year studying in a different country at one of our many partner universities across the world. Prepare for success in your future career by learning directly from leaders at guest lectures and events, designed to develop your understanding of how managers apply theory to overcome real business problems. Take part in discussion and debates with business leaders at our Leaders in Residence events, an annual highlight of your first and second year. Develop your networking skills and practical knowledge, whilst gaining insight into a range of career paths. Receive exemptions on CIM professional qualifications upon graduation, thanks to our CIM accreditation, giving you a head start for a career in marketing.
