Course summary
The PhD schemes available within the School normally last for three years of full-time study, with a thesis of between 60,000 and 100,000 words to be submitted at the end of this period. Recent doctoral dissertations presented in recent years include the Taliesin Myth, the life and work of the broadcaster Sam Jones, the popular singing of poets such as Twm Morys, Iwan Llwyd, Ifor ap Glyn and Myrddin ap Dafydd, the life and work of Alun Llywelyn -Williams, and TV adaptations of Saunders Lewis's plays.
