This integrated master's degree covers key subjects of structural, geotechnical and hydraulic engineering in a collaborative design setting. The knowledge and skills you'll gain will prepare you for careers developing sustainable civil and infrastructure facilities for a low-carbon future, while an industry placement will boost your employability.Prepare for a career in civil and infrastructure engineering, working with consultants or contractors and contributing to a more sustainable future.This integrated master's course covers structures, geotechnics, hydraulics, and sustainability, applied to civil and infrastructure engineering. We will build your professional engineering skills over four years, focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions to civil and infrastructural engineering problems. Your career may see you specialising in buildings, motorways, railways, bridges, coastal protection, or energy infrastructure. Graduates from City have worked on major projects, including the HS2 rail project and the development of London landmark buildings. Our recent graduates have secured employment with organisations such as AECOM, Atkins, Building Design Consultants, London Bridge Associates, Mott MacDonald, Arup and Ramboll. As well as contracting engineering practices such as Balfour Beatty Engineering, Jacobs Engineering and Skanska. If you want to become a Chartered Engineer, with enhanced prospects and earning potential, an integrated MEng offers the most direct route.We have every expectation that these degrees will receive full accreditation from the Joint Board of Moderators (Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers and The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation), providing a path for you to gain Chartered Engineering status.
