The programme begins with a one-year foundation which is designed to help you develop the study skills and academic knowledge needed for an engineering degree at Bachelors or Integrated Masters level.Embark on a dynamic journey delving into structures, geotechnics, hydraulics, and sustainability as they relate to civil and infrastructure engineering.Over three years, we'll nurture your professional engineering prowess, emphasising innovative and sustainable solutions to the field's challenges. Engage in both individual and group engineering design projects, providing tangible proof of your knowledge, skills, and employability.- Benefit from invaluable industry connections via guest lectures and projects spearheaded by distinguished engineers.- Access cutting-edge laboratories, including our flagship Geotechnical Centrifuge Facility, for research and experimentation.- Gain practical experience with concrete, soil, and other materials testing equipment through hands-on sessions.- Seize the opportunity to undertake an optional placement year, enhancing your employability. For example, mature students who need to update their technical knowledge and get used to studying again after being in work.By the end of the first foundation year and on successful completion, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to progress to a BEng or MEng degree.
AccreditationWe have every expectation that these degrees will receive full accreditation from the Joint Board of Moderators (Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers and The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation), providing a path for you to gain Chartered Engineering status.
