Course summary

Research overview

The Clinical Psychology MPhil is suitable for students who wish to study any area of clinical psychology. We welcome applications for a MPhil in a variety of research areas.

On this research programme you will study intensively in the area of your choice, under the supervision of experts in the field. Research projects are usually either placed within the relevant research group or managed as collaboration across groups.

A MPhil in Clinical Psychology shows that you have conducted research in an area relevant to clinical psychology, for instance, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression or traumatic stress. It is a purely research degree with no training in clinical skills. If you are looking to qualify in clinical psychology practice specifically, please see our DClinPsy course profile.

Research facilities

IT facilities

All full-time MPhil students have access to a personal work station, as well as wider University IT facilities including printing and photocopying as well as remote PC access. Part-time students also have access to ‘hot desk’ facilities.
