Our Computer Networking and Cloud Security (including foundation year) BEng (Hons) degree has a built-in foundation year which will expose you to the importance of network security, the range of threats to network infrastructure, how these threats work, what vulnerabilities exist in the protocols, possible threats and mitigations to those attacks.You'll learn about the concepts of computer networking cloud security, developing your technical expertise and opening up career opportunities for you in the the computer networking and cyber security industry.In your foundation year you’ll gain skills across a variety of subjects including cyber security, logic and problem solving, communications engineering, programming and mathematics. These key skills will ensure you are fully prepared for the following three years of your course. This course shares a foundation year with a number of other foundation year degrees in our School of Computing and Digital Media, so your foundation year is a great opportunity to study with other students who are interested in a variety of different specialisms.You’ll benefit from our impressive computer laboratories. London Met is home to the UK’s first-ever Cisco Networking Academy and this course incorporates the complete set of CCNA and Palo Alto modules, meaning that you’ll graduate with additional Cisco and Palo Alto Academy certifications that are highly sought-after in the industry.You'll graduate with a full undergraduate degree with the same title and award as those who studied the traditional three-year course.Following your foundation year, you will study the same course content and get the same choice of modules as those who study our Computer Networking and Cloud Security BSc (Hons) degree.

GCSE/National 4/National 5 : English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C/grade 4 or above (or equivalent eg Functional Skills at Level 2). Applicants who meet the UCAS points criteria but who obtained a D/grade 3 in English and/or Maths at GCSE may be offered a University test in these areas.
