Computer Networks and Cybersecurity MSc

Overview

This highly-practical course is suited for those wishing to pursue a career in computer networking and cybersecurity. You will learn how to build and design complex networks and will examine the network security issues facing modern businesses and service providers. You will learn how to configure, test and secure a range of networking devices including routers, switches wireless LAN controllers, firewall appliances and standalone and cloud based servers.

Course structure

You will be taught via a mix of lectures, tutorials, seminars, and group discussions. Assessment is primarily by coursework. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a project to solve a real-world networking problem during the final stage of the course, potentially with an external client or a research-active member of staff.
