This one year Higher National Certificate course is suitable for students finishing college or those re-entering education after employment or career-break.An industry-recognised qualification, known to provide the practical and problem-solving skills needed by employers, that will support a fast-track entry to employment for students entering or choosing a career-change within the employment market. The course is equivalent to the first year of undergraduate study.You will get a broad introduction to Computing through core learning units as well as specialist pathways so that you can gain the key skills and experience needed across a range of occupational sectors. Specialist pathways include:Data AnalyticsNetwork EngineeringCyber Security.You will develop your computing skills and knowledge through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will gain transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis.During the course you will also develop specialised knowledge of programming, database design, software development and the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.
