Course summary

On our Creative Advertising and Art Direction degree you will learn how to produce advertising and creative content, in a range of media, to enable you to be adaptable for any creative department for a diverse range of audiences. You can specialise in art direction, copywriting, moving image, experiential, digital content and a variety of other visual and written branded communications. Created in partnership with internationally renowned advertising agency M&C Saatchi, the degree has a strong employment focus, your skills are built up over practical modules, critical and research modules and industry modules. There is a lot to learn but we all believe it should be fun.Graduates will be able to pursue careers in private and public companies, for creative advertising agencies, 360° agencies, experiential, content and digital agencies and for the charity sector.* Created in partnership with internationally renowned advertising agency you will develop a creative skill set for creative advertising and communications environments* The course is designed to stimulate you intellectually and creatively, advancing critical engagement with practice, theory, industry, audiences, and social and cultural capital* You will develop practical skills in a wide scope of media, materials and processes; visual, aural, written, film, experiential and future-facing digital* This degree promotes diversity of representation and inclusion as intrinsic to just and healthy societies, innovation and creative communication practice* The degree provides plenty of opportunities for students to publicly present their own work in industry presentations, shows, installations, digital platforms and screening.Learning takes place in varied environments primarily in School of Design studios but also in field trips to M&C Saatchi, in seminar rooms, in the TV studios and editing labs, and in gallery visits. There are 22 places on the programme in the first year of running and a key aspect is to attract and support a diverse range of home students.
