Course summary

This dynamic course is designed to enable you to work therapeutically using the creative arts in art, health, care or education contexts.

You will examine concepts of psychotherapy while developing a plethora of creative skills and applying your own artistry to the therapeutic process in work settings.

FdA Creative Arts for Health and Wellbeing allows you to be employed or in a voluntary placement while studying to gain vital relevant experience.

Suitable employment or placement settings include projects where creativity is used to engage members of communities in a way that enriches their lives.

Examples include theatre projects with children and young people, using music to support communication, art with the elderly or community arts that engage people who might feel marginalised.
