Digital skills are vital for the economy and there is a natural synergy between Creative Writing and Media & Culture, particularly in relation to developments in digital media that have occurred over the past few years. In studying this Joint Honours combination, you will build transferrable skills that include learning to write blog portfolios, creating Me-Vies, writing scripts for podcasts or radio and using social media for marketing. It is estimated that over a million digitally skilled people will be needed by 2022 according to the Office for Students (2020) and this course has been created to position you at the forefront of creative content development.**Key features**- Develop an awareness of the exciting possibilities available in contemporary digital marketing and online content creation- Study the importance of audience to build a deeper understanding and engagement with different communities- Explore creative writing in a variety of styles, genres, and forms- Build strong profiles for potential employment in a range of industries such as marketing, communications, and game design- Work with peers to develop teambuilding and interpersonal skills- Develop an understanding of how creativity intersects with new developments in a media-saturated world- Work project opportunities to gain experience in relation to your future career
