Learn how topics such as class, ethnicity and gender intersect with criminality, and the impact they have on society with nationally renowned academic staff at the forefront of criminological and sociological exploration.At Plymouth, your degree extends far beyond the theoretical. Immerse yourself in live-action and virtual reality crime scenes and tackle face-to-face suspect interviews with experienced actors. Experience our pioneering module with HMP Exeter, where students learn about rehabilitation inside prison walls; support local charity LandWorks in the rehabilitation of offenders; or shadow the team at Citizen’s Advice.With us, your degree really is what you make it. From the second year, you can choose to add in modules from across the School of Society & Culture’s 17 disciplines, broadening your perspective with a focus on subjects like Law or Politics, or being inspired to write your own crime novel with a module in Creative Writing.
