Course summary
Our Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing provides flexibility for the future provision of critical care nurse education. The course integrates the following standards and frameworks: National Standards for Critical Care Nurse Education National Competency Framework for Critical Care Nurses (Critical Care Networks [CC3N], 2012). The course is made up of three distinct modules. On these modules you'll explore policy to support the assessment, monitoring and nursing management of critical care patients. Why study with us The teaching team explore research relevant to critical care practice. Research is embedded within the course programme from a local, national, and global perspective. Research explored is further supported by the participation of the course team to inform clinical practice. Evidence based practice is explored through and supported by the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and Intensive Care Society and the Lancashire and South Cumbria Critical Care and Major Trauma Network. These areas support the evidence base and content for the modules.
