Course summary
This course enables you to study the interaction between history, literature and language. You can study Welsh history modules and can also choose modules covering the history of Britain, Europe and the wider world. The provision in Welsh ranges from the tales of the Mabinogion to contemporary literature. Your linguistic studies will encompass the history of Welsh and its practical use for work-related purposes in preparation for employment in areas such as the civil service, local government, broadcasting, publishing, teaching, translation and arts sectors.Placement Year and International Experience Year AvailableBangor University runs a paid internship scheme within the university’s academic and service departments.
