Course summary

This course opens several career paths. It offers a good academic foundation in Welsh (two thirds of the course) as well as several practical and academic modules in Journalism. There is an opportunity to sample journalism without closing the door on a career in all fields that require a degree in Welsh. You will learn through weekly lectures, seminars and tutorials. In addition, you will be doing essays, various exercises, reading and preparing for seminars. The Journalism courses will include practical work. The final assessment will include examinations and coursework.

Experiences offered by the Centre for Careers and Employability to help your personal and career development include work placement programs, work tasters, part-time jobs and volunteering and mentoring schemes. The Bangor Employability Award is designed to improve the job prospects of our students. It offers free opportunities to gain the skills and experiences employers need, based on the latest research.
