DANCE

This course enables you to study dance alongside another subject, developing your own unique portfolio of skills and interests.

You will spend most of your time in the dance studios, supported by passionate and experienced tutors. You will be supported and challenged to develop technically as a dancer and as a choreographer. You will take part in a range of technique classes and consider different ways of making work.

You will explore areas including:

  • social/political aspects of dance development
  • choreography
  • ballet, jazz, contemporary limón, contemporary release, urban, African, South Asian and Repertoire.

TOURISM STUDIES

The tourism industry supports over 260 million jobs worldwide and offers a multitude of exciting opportunities for graduates.

You will gain specialist knowledge in tourism from experienced staff who are passionate about their teaching and research. Lectures and seminars are supported by a wealth of industry speakers, site visits and an international field trip. During your time with us, you will be offered work experience/ internships and be able to take advantage of our exciting Tourism and Events Research Hub, which has a reputation for winning successful research grants.

Whatever degree you choose to study within Tourism, Events and Hospitality, you will enjoy a fun and stimulating field trip abroad in year one, already included in your fees.

You will explore areas including:

  • introduction to tourism
  • managing tourism organisations
  • tourism and events policy and development.
