The digital world now shapes the way we think, communicate, work and play.

Our Digital Media degree will help you to become a creative producer with an array of technical and design skills, giving you the ability to produce original and striking multimedia projects across a range of platforms.

Using industry standard software, you will develop a detailed knowledge of digital media tools alongside an understanding of the history and theory of digital media.

The fast-moving digital media industry offers exciting employment prospects across a broad range of disciplines. On this course, you'll develop the technical skills and creative flair to help you become a dynamic, work-ready graduate.

You'll learn the theory of multimedia digital production and you'll develop strong practical skills in dedicated digital media suites equipped with professional standard hardware and software including Adobe CC and Autodesk Maya. You'll also be able to book equipment including video cameras, digital SLRs, and sound recording equipment to complete your project work and will be supported by specialist technicians.

Your future career

Our Digital Media course is designed to enable you to define a creative solution to a specific issue or tasks in a number of different professional contexts. In this sense, the skills you will gain on the Digital Media course are applicable in a broad range of environments, and are transferable across a wide range of careers. As a graduate from the course you should be suited to working in a wide variety of contexts where critical awareness and technical knowledge are essential requirements. Graduates may also go on to undertake a higher degree at Canterbury Christ Church University or elsewhere.
