Course summary

Digital signal and image processing lies at the heart of modern society. We all use mobile phones, watch digital TV and may soon ride in automated vehicles guided by embedded vision systems.

All these technologies rely on signal processing methods and specialised hardware. This MSc gives you the specialised knowledge and skills needed in modern digital technology.

This course is for you if you have an undergraduate degree in Engineering, or if you’re a practising engineer. You’ll study in a dedicated MSc laboratory, utilising specialised hardware and software.

Our research groups have strong links with industry and you’ll learn from experts in their fields. We host the Industrial Informatics and Signal Processing Research Group, the Communications Research Group and the Sensor Technology Research Centre.
