Course summary

This course will help you to understand and analyse the workings of global economies. The programme combines economic analysis with a range of management modules from the Southampton Business School. • As part of your first year modules, you'll learn to use Bloomberg trading terminals in our FinLab. You'll gain essential skills for managing a successful business and can maximise your employability with a Bloomberg Markets Concepts qualification. • You'll also have the freedom to shape your studies by choosing optional modules to suit your interests or career plans. You could also: • Spend a year in employment• Gain vital work experience on IBM's Business Innovation Programme• Spend a semester abroad• Gain exemptions from professional accounting bodies and the Institute and Faculty of ActuariesChoose Southampton and you'll also be joining a department ranked 20th in the UK for Economics and Econometrics (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020).
