This course is based in one of the UK’s top economics schools and equips you with the fundamental skills necessary to prepare you for a future career or PhD research in economics.

What you will study

Our MSc Economics course comprehensively covers the core areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. As well as acquiring excellent technical training in these areas, you’ll also learn how to bring your analytical strengths to bear on applied issues. This course includes training in research methodology that will give you the skills you need to carry out independent research in economics and complete your dissertation.

We offer a range of elective modules which will allow you to tailor your course to meet your needs. These modules take in the full range of academic expertise and active research interests within the School of Economics.
