Course summary
Our BA Economics with Management expands on the core Economics degree. Alongside the fundamental theories and techniques of Economics, you’ll study selected modules in finance, business, accounting and management. Tailoring your degree in this way will help give you the knowledge and skills to support a career in your particular area of interest.**Year 1**Economics with Management expands the core of the Economics degree to include one further compulsory management module and a further optional module which could be from another department, including a foreign language**Year 2**In the second year, you study five compulsory modules investigating the core issues in Economics and Management, and you will be able to choose you will be able to choose one further optional module which could include a foreign language or one module from another department.**Year 3**In the third year, you submit a Dissertation (a compulsory double module). The Dissertation module allows you to analyse, in great depth, your choice of research question in Economics. In addition you study one compulsory module in Management. You then choose a further two optional Economics modules and one Management option. **Please note: the economics degree is currently under review and details may have changed by October 2023****Placement Year**You may be able to take a work placement. A-Level Economics is not required though for anyone taking this subject this will form part of the offer made to you.Applicants taking Science A-levels that include a practical component will be required to take and pass this as a condition of entry. This refers only to English A Levels.
