What you will study: Discover the latest developments in electronic and electrical engineering through high-quality teaching and our laboratory, fabrication and 3D printing facilities. Following a common first year in electrical science and electronics, you’ll study specialist topics, including electrical machines, power electronics, power engineering, communication systems, renewable energy generation and control engineering. Professional recognitionBEng (Hons) - Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. MEng - Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Foundation yearIf you don’t meet our entry requirements, you might still be able to apply for this degree with an Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Year. This is an extra year of study to develop your skills and make it easier for you to get started at university.
