Electrical and electronic engineers have a vital role to play in responding to the climate crisis and shaping the future of our society. They bring key expertise to deliver electrification and digitisation across multiple sectors such as transport, power generation, heating, and cooling, and beyond. There is therefore a growing need for highly competent electrical and electronic engineers, especially those with the skills to tackle society’s biggest challenges. The School of Engineering at UEA is mindful of the need to develop this new breed of electrical and electronics engineers and its Institute of Productivity East was established to support both the demand for the volume and characteristics of the engineers that are needed for the future.
