OVERVIEW

Now is the time to get into engineering. With around a fifth of the UK’s current workforce set to retire by 2026, hundreds of thousands of skilled new workers are needed in the coming years to fill the gap. To become part of the solution and make your mark in this field, our electromechanical engineering degree will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills to start your career.You will start by learning the fundamentals of all engineering disciplines – essential maths, mechanical and electrical science, electronics, design and programming – then how to apply those concepts and skills to solving contemporary engineering problems, designing new products and developing innovative new manufacturing solutions. You will also have access to the Industry 4.0 Learning Factory at the nearby Greater Birmingham and Solihull Institute of Technology (GBSIoT).
