Course overview
This course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge underpinning a career in electronic and electrical engineering. Electronic and electrical engineering encompasses the design and development of systems, devices and equipment that underpin our everyday lives, from power systems to information devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Teaching methods
You will learn through lectures, seminars and laboratory sessions at the University's purpose-built facilities at Thornton Science Park. The topics you will study are industrially relevant, and based around laboratory and research projects.
Assessment
Assessment will be by examination and through coursework and lab work assignments, including presentations, reports, essays and practical work. All years of study include project work, where you will choose topics that interest you.
Job prospects
Our graduates gain employment at both multinational companies and small & medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Recent graduates have secured prestigous, well paying positions at Trelleborg and GHD as hardware and control engineers respectively.
