Course summary
Electronic and software engineering combines the study of hardware and software and applies it to the field of computer science and electrical engineering. It will give you the knowledge required to lead teams that will design and build the computerised systems of the future.
Our graduates are highly employable and can look forward to well-paid careers designing and building the digital technologies that underpin the global economy and, indeed, every aspect of human activity from healthcare through music to making the natural environment sustainable.

- Electronics and Software Engineering graduates will be recognised by Institution of Engineering and Technology
- Between years 3 and 4 you will undertake a work placement in industry, either in the UK or overseas
CAREER PROSPECTS
Previous graduates have found employment in a wide range of industries, such as software houses, electronics companies and commercial institutions, including Agilent, ARM, BMW, Ion Torrents, Thales and Wolfson Microelectronics, among many others.
