**Why choose this course**Surrey is one of the UK’s leading universities for electrical and electronic engineering, with our courses ranked 6th in the Guardian University Guide 2021.We’re proud to be at the forefront of areas such as nanotechnology, vision and signal processing, mobile and wireless communications, multimedia engineering and space satellite engineering.Our BEng and MEng Electronic Engineering programmes draw upon this excellent academic research.**What you will study**On our BEng and MEng Electronic Engineering programmes, you’ll focus on applying theory to real-world engineering problems and technologies in our well-equipped laboratories.Throughout your course, you’ll be exposed to the latest developments in electronic engineering through high-quality teaching and excellent facilities.You’ll learn from, and work with, highly experienced academics from our research centres – such as the 6G Innovation Centre, Surrey Space Centre, Advanced Technology Institute and Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing – through individual and group project work.You can apply to study for either a BEng or MEng (Masters of Engineering). The MEng builds on the BEng programme with a masters year and is a direct route to a masters qualification. Depending on your progress, you may have the option to switch to a BEng or MEng during your studies.
