English and History BA (Hons)

The combination of English and History uniquely positions you to be able to interrogate a variety of literary texts (including film, theatre, poetry and prose) and place them within their historical, social and political contexts. Both departments offer modules that explore literary and historical cultures from the Early Modern period up until the contemporary moment.
