YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY EXPERIENCE

  • This degree programme will equip you with those vital personal and professional skills, and the necessary interdisciplinary expertise, to make a difference in the world.
  • You will do this through the study of climate change and climate reconstruction, earth-observation and remote sensing, environmental modelling and geographical information systems.
  • You will develop your understanding of ecology and conservation, with themes including life in the oceans, rural environments and sustainable cities, natural hazards, geoengineering, disaster capitalism and social justice.
  • The teaching programme places a strong emphasis on active and practical learning, problem solving and authentic assessment, and fieldwork both in the UK and internationally.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Students graduating from this programme will have the knowledge and skills suitable for a wide range of careers including environmental and ecological consultancy, government bodies, insurance and risk management, non-governmental organisations, business, urban planning, transport agencies and renewable energy sectors.
