Environmental Science (with Foundation Year) BSc (Hons)

Accredited by The Institution of Environmental Sciences, this degree places an emphasis on practical experience and transferable skills, gained through local and overseas fieldwork, lab work, computing, data analysis, report writing, and a diverse range of exciting work placements.This specialist BSc course has been developed to give you a solid overview in the discipline of environmental science, as well as looking at how humans shape the world around us on a local, and global scale. In addition to covering the theory, the degree’s highly practical element seeks to equip you with a host of transferable skills essential for finding employment after you graduate, or alternatively, for progressing on to Masters courses and completing further research.We have a foundation year option for UK students who do not meet the entry requirements for the degree course. This additional year of study will give you with a grounding in the scientific skills required for environmental science, building your confidence, knowledge and skills for further study. After successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress to the full degree. Students have attended placements with companies including The Environment Agency, environmental consultancy firms, national and international wildlife organisations, The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRE) and more.
