Course summary

Our Fashion and Textiles Design course will provide you with an extensive understanding of the creative, critical and technical skills required to pursue your chosen specialism within fashion or textiles. You will define your own learning pathway and acquire the specialist skills necessary to pursue a career as a professional within today’s dynamic fashion and textile industry.You will learn to combine traditional craft skills with the latest digital technologies and apply your research and development methods and manufacturing techniques. You will develop your drawing and visualisation skills and apply CAD and design processes with a range of projects briefs that explore critical and contextual studies, marketing and professional studies.Our course will encourage you to express a personal design approach and signature style whilst responding to a range of studio and workshop-based projects delivered with several external organisations. You will explore design for niche markets and work in partnership with industry collaborators who providing ‘real world’ experiences that challenge you responds to the consumer.
