Fashion Business HNC

**This new Higher National Certificate in Fashion Business course has been developed in consultation with local and national fashion businesses, and covers creative development of fashion brands and labels for local, national and international trade. All aspects of the fashion business are investigated, from identifying a market, forecasting, developing a label, promotion, dealing with wholesalers, and online trading.****About the course**You will investigate the methods and processes that make up the contemporary fashion business world, developing creative responses to the high energy world of online and high street trading environments. You will identify markets that will allow you to pursue your passion for design and clothing, and find out how to engage with the major players as well as sell directly to your target audience. **Modules may include**- Communication in Art and Design- Professional development- Techniques and processes- Visual merchandising- Fashion collection**Assessment**Coursework may include: presentations, research portfolios and online journals. There are no examinations.Qualification AwardHigher National Certificate in Art and Design (Fashion) - awarded by Pearson.**Bursaries**We want our courses to be accessible to students from any background, so we’ve put together a cash support package in the form of non-repayable bursaries to provide financial help where it’s really needed. From the HND, graduates could progress to one of our range of top-up courses, such as **BA (Hons) Art and Design (Fashion)** or **BA (Hons) Business Studies.** Alternatively, they may wish to seek employment in the fashion retail sector, with career opportunities including brand development, fashion marketing, retail buying, visual merchandising and retail management.
