BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Professional Practice Year is a four-year degree programme, in year three you undertake a placement within the creative industries to further develop your skills and CV.Fashion Design built around your vision, your direction, and your future.Fashion is one of the most culturally alive and creative industries there is – and this course puts you right at the heart of it, with the freedom to take it anywhere. Your concepts, your passions, your voice. From high street to high-end, womenswear, menswear or gender-neutral fashion whatever you’re drawn to is a direction you can pursue.This is a hands-on course where you’ll get physical with materials, through fashion illustration and visualisation, pattern cutting and a range of garment construction techniques and design methods that inspire you to develop your fashion concepts into fashion designs and three-dimensional realisations. Textiles construction, dye and print are part of your learning journey – alongside your time spent designing and making fashion in our well-equipped studios. You'll understand how fabrics are made, not just how they're used – a perspective and understanding that will set you apart from your peers.You'll work within a diverse, multicultural student community at Epsom – close enough to London to source fabrics and visit exhibitions, but with the space to think clearly and the time to find your own voice in fashion.
