Course summary
The Film and Screen Media degree reflects how film and television studies have changed in recent years as a result of the impact of digital media and our interaction with it. By studying a range of topics you will gain an understanding of the most significant issues affecting the media today and its relationship with our culture and society. Our degree takes advantage of St Mary’s London location to bring in published writers from the worlds of fiction, screenwriting and poetry. You will study different styles, genres and forms, which will enable you to write what you love in the best way you can. We welcome students with a wide range of interests in writing, without prejudice or snobbery about content. In addition to prose fiction classes, our professional classes in journalism, publishing and screenwriting are designed to help you turn your talents into a vocation.
