Many graduating students have scooped Royal Television Society Awards and gone straight into big production.The course will rapidly develop high-level technical, creative, and professional hands-on skills to produce quality films and television programmes. Every week you'll be out planning, shooting, or editing films and working on a wide range of projects - from commercials to documentaries; scripts to multi-camera productions; short films to music videos.**Course Overview**Our aim is to ensure that you not only graduate with writing, shooting, and editing technical skills, but also as a creative practitioner with your own unique voice. Each year will build on the skills you developed in the previous year as you take on more challenging projects of bigger scale.The foundation year gives you extra time to develop your experience and confidence, studying a broad range of media in a way that is designed to prepare you for the BA (Hons) Film and Television degree. We ensure that you are taught how to focus your studies at undergraduate level, ensuring not only that you have the skills you need, but also the right mental attitude for further study.During this foundation year you will be introduced to a broad range of skills, focusing on real world film and television production. You will learn the things you need to know for current professional practice and learn to operate the same equipment as industry professionals.Over the following three years of the degree you will cover areas such as documentary, script-writing, TV commercials, short film, music video and multi camera television production.
