This contemporary fine art programme offers an interdisciplinary approach blending critical theory with hands-on practice in a supportive environment, allowing you to explore disciplines like painting, sculpture, printmaking, installation, performance, lens-based work (photography/video), and digital techniques while developing both contextual understanding and technical expertise. You'll gain transferable skills for creative practice and effective idea communication, preparing for careers as professional artists, creative industries roles, or postgraduate study. The BA Fine Art curriculum develops creative, critical thinking and technical skills through initiatives like Shared Drive projects that unite students across years for collective work, while offering personalized studio spaces. Between your second and third year, you may study abroad at partner institutions, selecting modules to expand your artistic knowledge and cultural appreciation with support from Winchester School of Art staff.
