Study and explore contemporary approaches to painting and drawing in a lively and intellectually challenging atmosphere providing a breadth and depth of experience which is not possible on a multi-disciplinary fine art course.This specialist Painting & Drawing degree offers the chance for students to focus on painting and drawing in equal measure or as single disciplines. You will also be introduced to printmaking which can be used both in combination with painting and drawing or as a single discipline.The structure of Fine Art Painting & Drawing BA (Hons) is designed to introduce students to a wide variety of new ideas, techniques and processes and to offer them a wide-ranging expansion of the possibilities of both painting and drawing. Other highlights include:- New studios and a personal studio space for each student.- Access to one of the country’s leading printmaking workshops with excellent technical support.- Access to specialist digital facilities supporting digital image and time-based imagery. The course also has access to VR technology and digital microscopes.- Passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff with a diverse range of specialisms and subject knowledge.- National and international level visiting speakers.- Proximity to London, one of the world’s leading centres for art (less than an hour by train).
