Course summary
Our Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics MClinDent is a comprehensive restorative dentistry course focusing on fixed and removable prosthodontics, designed to advance skills in complex multi-disciplinary dental problems.
A key feature of this innovative blended learning programme is the face-to-face teaching block which takes place in the first three years. An invaluable way to consolidate learning, and network with peers and teachers, you will benefit from between 9-10 days of continuous intensive training and learning in each of years one to three.
Designed for dental practitioners in high-level practice, you will use the skills learned in your own practice throughout the course. This course is mostly delivered online, so you can study anywhere in the world with minimum disruption to your professional and personal life while benefitting from world-class teaching.
Description:
This course will develop your clinical skills in restorative dentistry, enabling you to treat the variety of patients that visit your practice. We have designed the course to advance your skills, especially in complex multi-disciplinary dental problems such as tooth wear, complex aesthetics and occlusal problems.
Our course director, Professor Brian Millar, has helped many dental graduates, both nationally and internationally, to achieve their postgraduate goals, and develop their clinical skills in restorative dentistry, enabling treatment of a wider variety of patients and referring fewer patients externally.
Course format and assessment:
60% of each module will be assessed through exams and 40% through assignments, with the exception of the Clinical 1 and 2 modules which are assessed through portfolios of case work, and the Research module which will be assessed by a dissertation.
