Course Overview:
This course is a combination of mechanical engineering principles and design, and manufacturing processes and systems. The course allows for a wide range of practical activities and opportunities for team working, incorporating a range of computer-based IT engineering applications. Whether you want to specialise in mechanical, manufacturing, production, aeronautical, energy supply, electronics, electrical, communications or maintenance engineering, there is a wide range of engineering opportunities available in Ireland, the UK and abroad. Students have access to industrystandard design, manufacture and control software packages including Solid Works, AutoCAD, Cosmos FEA, EdgeCAM, Pathtrace, etc. and are encouraged to develop their IT skills using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.

A level :
UK - 64 UCAS points to include at least one Grade C at A Level from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Design/Technology. If not offering A-Level Mathematics you must have GCSE Mathematics at Grade B.
