French and Francophone Studies at Nottingham offers you this and much more.You can take modules in:- translation and interpreting- linguistics- art, theatre and photography- cinema- history and culture- politics- literature from around the Francophone worldLive the life and culture of France or a French speaking country for yourself in year three. This exciting experience develops your communication skills, builds your confidence and helps you stand out to future employers. You can teach English in a School or work anywhere in the Francophone world. Or you can study at one of our partner universities, including Guadeloupe, La Reunion and Paris. **Other ways to study French**:This course is also available with a Foundation Year. You may combine French with another language (German, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish) on Modern Languages, or study it in joint honours with Contemporary Chinese Studies. French is an option in Modern Language Studies, Modern Languages with Business, Modern Languages with Translation and Modern European Studies. You may also combine French with subjects outside languages, in joint honours with English, Philosophy, International Media and Communications Studies or History, alongside multiple disciplines in our BA Liberal Arts, or in Economics with French and Law with French and French Law.This course is not open to beginners of French, but we have beginner's pathways on the following courses: English with French BA, French and Contemporary Chinese Studies BA, French and History BA, French and International Media and Communications Studies BA or French and Philosophy BA.
