Course summary
Unlock your creative potential and refine your game-making skills through our hands-on, theory-informed games design and art degree. You'll employ a research-led approach to game creation while developing your unique style through personal projects. The program offers diverse development experience across tabletop, escape room, narrative and video games, with an emphasis on inclusive design that addresses marginalized topics and complex issues. You'll gain industry-relevant skills in design, critical thinking and problem-solving while working with cutting-edge technologies in our collaborative studio environment. The curriculum develops your ability to create impactful games, understand their societal influence, and present prototypes professionally - culminating in a fully realized final-year game project. Beyond the classroom, you'll visit studios, attend conferences, participate in industry events, and showcase work at external exhibitions to build professional networks. We regularly review our courses (regulated by England's Office for Students) to maintain quality while ensuring students receive expected educational services.
