Course summary

Sustainable development. International migration. Environmental justice. Geography is all about responding to the world’s most pressing challenges. Joining us, you’ll study modules informed by our research that present a truly global picture. Our academics influence international climate policy and big changes like the UK Living Wage Campaign. Looking at the impact on communities is vital too. Our recent guest speakers have included the Tower Hamlets Council public health team who shared their experience of community health promotion, as well as leaders from Latin America who spoke about political change. Many of our Geography graduates use their subject knowledge directly, in data analysis, environmental consultancy, social research, town planning or geographical information systems (GIS). Others take their transferable skills into other careers, from business to market research.
