Course summary
This course might be exactly what you’re looking for. Become part of a university community committed to building a more sustainable future, helping businesses preserve profitability while addressing the global climate crisis. Modules from the School of Business and Management make up a quarter of our programme – you’ll learn about financial management, marketing, strategy and human resources. Then you’ll spend most of your week in the School of Geography learning about issues defining our present, like international development, geopolitics and the changing nature of work. Many of our modules contain fieldwork in London, the UK and overseas too. Maybe you’ll head to Spitalfields market to examine urban consumption or travel to Boston to meet climate change activists and tech entrepreneurs. Go global and study abroad as part of your degree – apply for our Geography with Business Management BSc with a Year Abroad. Queen Mary has links with universities in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia (partnerships vary for each degree programme). Many of our Geography with Business Management graduates use their subject knowledge directly, in business analysis, responsible investing, marketing or political risk analysis. Others take their transferable skills into other careers, from social research to finance.
