This programme is a recognised higher education qualification in health, care and education of children and young people. We provide a programme of progressive studies relevant to careers in the primary functions of care within the health, care and education of children and young people that enhance your ability to exercise investigative, reflective analytical and reasoning powers in context.On this programme you will learn to understand the theories relating to the development and wellbeing of children and young people, and to apply theoretical knowledge of development and wellbeing to enhance work with children and young people.You will develop awareness and appreciation of contemporary challenges relevant to the discipline facing individuals, organisations, communities and society, from a local, national and global perspective. You will raise awareness and appreciation of the role Public Health plays in responding to contemporary issues affecting the health and well-being of communities and populations.We will focus on developing your independent study and life-long learning skills. This will give you a foundation for successful completion of your degree programme, support your future employment opportunities and build the skills and competencies necessary for career resilience and professional development in the future work context.We also offer all modules through the medium of Welsh.
