Our BSc Health and Social Care and Management has been designed to bring together the very best of this interdisciplinary area as well as providing you with a solid grounding in management skills. It is ideal if you are interested in management and leadership within the healthcare sector.

- It offers you skills and knowledge relevant to a wide range of careers in the public, voluntary and private sectors and supports you to make progress towards, or in, a managerial role.- It provides you with training in key management and business concepts, grounded in the day-to-day reality of working in different types of organisations.- You will be taught by academics who are actively researching key issues in health and social care bringing their insight and experience to your learning.

Health and social care are fast-growing areas of employment and academic investigation. This course will equip you with a strong foundation in:- the national and international context of health and social care- the inequalities that shape changing needs- the policies that respond to them.This course is also run in collaboration with our Business School to offer you specific modules in accounting and management studies, so you gain the skills that are in demand by employers.

The course is mainly taught in small-group workshops, seminars and tutorials, and is supported by rich online materials and resources you can access whenever you need.You can choose

for most compulsory modules on this course. Some option modules may only be offered in the evening.

If you opt for the Foundation Year route, this will fully prepare you for undergraduate study. It is ideal if you are returning to study after a gap, or if you have not previously studied the relevant subjects, or if you didn't achieve the grades you need for a place on your chosen undergraduate degree

- This interdisciplinary degree is taught by academic experts actively involved in health and social care research in the UK and around the globe. - You will learn about complex organisations and how to manage people and resources while gaining work-relevant skills to support your career development.- Teaching integrates key skills for employability in caring environments, for instance in the NHS, social care sector, voluntary organisations and many private sector organisations.
