Course summary
Deepen your understanding of the ever-evolving healthcare sector with our Health and Wellbeing Foundation degree. Our course will educate you in new therapies and developments that can be utilised to tackle healthcare issues. You’ll strengthen your transferable skills as well as gaining a broad understanding of the contemporary healthcare context.
Fusing science with wellbeing, our foundation degree increases your knowledge, allowing you to use new therapies and developments to tackle existing healthcare issues. If you aim to work in the health care sector and promote positive health and resilient mental health, and wellbeing, this course supports your career.
Our selection of modules serve to develop you in multiple ways. Alongside improving your sector-specific knowledge, you’ll refine your interpersonal skills and enhance your communication skills. You’ll also study an array of topics ranging from anatomy and physiology to nutrition, complementary therapies, and more.
With this foundation degree, you will acquire the specialist and general knowledge which will facilitate progression on to a top-up degree, pursue a health and wellbeing specialism, or move into relevant employment.

For each module, one or two assessments will be required which may contain a number of tasks.
In addition lecturers will plan in ungraded or formative assessments as part of the learning process; these will be shown in the module scheme of work.
